Qualifications and Job Description:          

  • This position is an on-call position that provides direct support to the Indigenous students and their teachers at various schools throughout the District when a replacement is needed for one of the school based Indigenous Education Assistants
  • The applicant will act as a positive role model for Indigenous students
  • Applicants must have demonstrated ability to provide instructional support in a school setting with a willingness to be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the school and students
  • Applicants must have demonstrated strong, positive interpersonal skills with students, staff, and the community. 
  • Applicants must be willing and able to step in with short notice as this is an on-call position that requires you to cover another employee’s absence
  • Minimum secondary school graduation, direct or related experience with a preference given to applicants with post-secondary training and experience related to supporting school-aged children/youth
