Grade K - 12: Punjabi and Gurmat (Sikh Studies) Teachers

Khalsa Schools of BC are offering full time teaching positions to K- Grade 12 Punjabi teachers. Khalsa School is an independent Sikh school in British Columbia. We are offering full time teaching positions with the opportunity to set up your own classroom.

The positions we have available for the 2023-2024 school year include:

16 - Punjabi teachers (3 secondary, 13 elementary)

6 - Sikh Studies/Gurmat Teacher (Kindergarten to Grade 12)

Please specify in your resume, what grade levels you are comfortable teaching and your teaching qualifications.

Successful candidates will have a Bachelor of Education. You must be eligible to be employed in Canada. Special attention will be given to applicants who are certified to or can be certified to teach in British Columbia.

Khalsa School is a Sikh school and a part of the student’s education at our schools includes education in the Sikh Faith (Sikh music, history, scriptures). Successful candidates will be working in this department.

Position Start Date: Sept. 1, 2023

Job Type: Full-Time

Educational requirements: Bachelor of Education – Successful candidates must have the appropriate certification level, have qualifications and meet requirements to work in Canada.

Applicants with certification to teach in BC will be given preference. If you are certified to teach in another province, you will be considered, granted you apply for BC certification.
