The Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese (the CISVA) operates 47 schools – 40 elementary and seven high schools. Our footprint extends over 250 kilometres, from Powell River in the west to Chilliwack in the east.
We are a culturally diverse faith-based family. We offer more than a place of work – we provide a call to your teaching vocation where you can work and live your faith in a supportive community. Many of our current teachers and principals are products of our school system – former graduates from the CISVA who continue to grow their spiritual and professional journey with us.
We are a vibrant school system with many school and program expansion projects in the future. We offer spiritual and professional growth and mentorship opportunities for new teachers to help them with their transition into the CISVA.
Located in the beautiful city of Vancouver, close to the Renfrew SkyTrain Station, St. Jude School first opened its doors in 1955 as a Kindergarten to Grade 7 Catholic elementary school. St. Jude School was established to serve the educational needs of the parish and neighbouring communities.
A tour of our school would reveal teachers who care about each student and work hard to create engaging learning opportunities, while providing a strong foundation in literacy, numeracy, and the Catholic Faith. Our school is supportive of students with special needs and we have a strong team of Educational Assistants, a Reading Specialist, and a Learning Resource Coordinator who work are to ensure all of our students are supported in achieving their learning goals. Our school also employs specialist teachers in Physical Education and Music. Students of St. Jude School receive an education that prepares them for the world they encounter.
We encourage all potential candidates to explore our website to learn more about our school and the programs we offer: https://stjude.ca/
