The Burnaby School District is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to join their progressive team. The Payroll Supervisor provides leadership and work direction to payroll staff in the effective and efficient delivery of payroll services. This position is responsible for supervising bargaining unit Payroll / Benefit Coordinators to ensure compliance with operational and statutory requirements. This position works collaboratively with district staff and outside agencies on payroll and benefit issues.
The successful candidate should have a diploma in business administration or substantial completion of the Canadian Payroll Management designation from the Canadian Payroll Association, or equivalent courses. The candidate should also have a minimum of five years post-secondary senior level payroll/accounting experience, with at least two years supervisory, within a public sector unionized environment.
