 IT Support Technician - Full Time Continuing

Rate of Pay: $24.38 per hour

If you share our passion for creating an inspiring Learning Community, we are accepting applications for a Tech Support Specialist in our Info Systems & Technology Department for a continuing assignment.  The successful candidate will perform the following duties:

 

  • Provides technical support to end users in the form of troubleshooting and fixing problems related to Windows and Macintosh computers, tablets, printers, mobile and peripheral devices.

  • Installs and configures basic desktop applications, desktop images and provides application support.

  • Maintains user accounts on Active Directory including basic administration on File, Print and Application Servers as designated.

  • Troubleshoots Internet connectivity issues and minor network and wireless problems. 

 

Individuals must have the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma plus a two-year Diploma in a relevant Information Technology track or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

  • Four years’ experience in the technology department of a complex environment supporting a large and varied user base.

  • Ability to use good judgment and initiative in identifying, adapting, and applying procedures and approaches to resolve problems.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in the explanation and clarification of information both verbally and in writing.

  • Demonstrated evidence of sound interpersonal skills with customer oriented, positive “can do” attitude.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Physical ability to perform the required duties.

  • Valid B.C. driver’s license.
