The collaborative District Facilities Team has a challenging management opportunity. Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Manager of Transportation and Central Stores is responsible for leadership and management of fleet maintenance, student transportation, warehouse operations and transport/delivery services across the district. The staff complement of 30 includes forepersons, mechanics, warehousing, bussing and transportation staff.
The District Facilities team values applicants who are eager to learn and excited to grow their leadership career. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in a related field, or professional facilities maintenance experience, coupled with management education, training and experience. An excellent record of achievement as a strong, innovative manager/leader in a similar role is required. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and approximately 5 years relevant experience will be necessary to enable the individual to fulfill this role.
This position is based out of the District Facilities Centre in the heart of Surrey. Surrey Schools offers an attractive salary and benefits package, including a municipal pension.
