Manager of Finance - Budgets and Analytics

The Manager of Finance – Budgets and Analytics provides assistance in developing, maintaining and overseeing budgets and financial systems within the school district.  The position reviews the budgets and expenditures of departments to insure that individual budgets are compliant with the overall district budget and is being reported in a manner consistent with internal and external requirements.  This position reports to the Assistant Secretary Treasurer – Finance and Corporate Services and involves working closely with a variety of staff within the district to insure the accurate and timely recording of information related to the district’s budget.

Required Education and Experience

  • A professional accounting designation CPA (CA, CMA or CGA)
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or an appropriate combination of training and applicable industry experience
  • A minimum of 5-7 years related work experience preferably in a complex unionized environment
  • A high degree of technical knowledge of financial systems and budget management
  • A valid BC Driver’s license
  • Previous experience in a BC school district is an asset
