A Technology Education Teacher is a versatile educator who specializes in teaching practical skills in various technical fields such as woodwork, metalwork, automotive, and electronics. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Education degree (Technology of Industrial Education concentration) or equivalent training.
  • Industrial education courses equal to 33 units which are relevant to prescribed curriculum including appropriate teaching methodology courses for the assignment.
  • Appropriate journeyman's status or equivalent (if CPP).
  • A valid Teacher Regulation Branch Certificate, or in progress
  • Ability to understand and effectively carry out general oral and written instructions with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using courtesy and tact in the explanation and exchange of information.
  • Ability to determine, judge and select an appropriate course of action within limits of established methods and procedures.

PLEASE NOTE

  • The starting annual salary for this School Teacher position ranges from $50,000 to $104,000, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
