SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETER
PERMANENT FULL-TIME (SCHOOL TERM)
The Burnaby School District is currently recruiting for a permanent full-time Sign Language Interpreter to work at the BC School for the Deaf (BCSD).
This position will facilitate communication between deaf, hard of hearing and hearing students and staff by providing interpreting services in school and community settings.
Qualified candidate must have successfully completed an interpreter training program; possess fluency in American Sign Language; active WAVLI membership status; and one year related interpreting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working in an educational setting is considered an asset.
Rate of Pay: $30.67/Hour PLUS comprehensive benefits package
Hours of Work: 35 Hours/Week
