Temporary Teacher Librarian (0.6 FTE)

December 3, 2019 – January 31, 2020

Internal/External

 

Interested teachers who are a member or who are eligible to become a member of the Teacher Regulation Branch are invited to apply.

 

Preference will be given to applicants with (but not a pre-requisite):

  1. Diploma in teacher-librarianship;
  2. Familiarity working with students on IEP’s;
  3. Ability to direct the work of others;
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills;
  5. Excellent organizational skills;
  6. Ability to consult effectively with staff and administration;
  7. Ability to work with students in grades K-4;
  8. Ability to work in a Windows environment and Insignia Library Database.

 

Expected duties may include:

  1. Overseeing organization and maintenance of learning resources;
  2. Team teaching with another teacher;
  3. Working with students on individualized education plans;
  4. Teaching research and information skills;
  5. Acquiring and cataloging resources for use district wide.
