Grade K - 12: Kirtan/Tabla and Sikh Martial Arts Teachers Needed!

Khalsa Schools of BC are offering full time teaching positions to Kirtan and Tabla Teachers/ Sikh Studies and Gatka (Sikh Martial Arts) Teachers . Khalsa School is an independent Sikh school in British Columbia. We are offering full time teaching positions with the opportunity to set up your own classroom .

The positions we have available for the 2022-2022 school year include:

14 - Kirtan/Tabla Teachers (12 elementary, 2 secondary)

2 - Gatka (Sikh Martial Arts) Teachers (KG - Grade 12)

Please specify in your resume, what subject areas you are comfortable teaching and your musical and teaching qualifications.

Successful candidates will have a Bachelor of Education. You must be eligible to be employed in Canada. Special attention will be given to applicants who are certified to or can be certified to teach in British Columbia.

Khalsa School is a Sikh school and a part of the student’s education at our schools includes education in the Sikh Faith (Sikh music, history, scriptures). The successful candidate will be a part of this department.

Position Start Date: Sept. 1, 2023

Job Type: Full-Time

Educational requirements: Bachelor of Education –Successful candidates must have the appropriate certification level, have qualifications and meet requirements to work in Canada.

Applicants with certification to teach in BC will be given preference. If you are certified to teach in another province, you will be considered, granted you apply for BC certification.
