The District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Manager, Fiscal Management Services.  This position reports to the Director of Finance. 

Job Description:

The Manager, Fiscal Management Services will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of financial operations and employee relations. This position reports directly to the Director of Finance. 

The manager’s responsibilities include the accurate and timely preparation and analyses of all facets of the financial operations, including financial statement preparation and analysis, cash management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and all other fiscally related duties. The manager’s responsibilities will also include handling employee relations, policies and procedures, and may perform other administrative duties as required. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for all aspects of accounting -  accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliation, credit card expense report reconciliation, cash applications, collections, and school financial review and training,

  • Responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial processing, month end close and key accounts reconciliations,

  • Responsible for cash management, including performing international wire transfers and review of investment income,

  • Coordinate with Senior Manager, Budget and Forecasting, in developing and preparing budgets, forecasts, and projections,

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, bank reports, and various statutory reports and detailed analysis reports,

  • Prepare working papers for external audit review,

  • Maintain files and comply with record retention requirements,

  • Management of unionized staff,

  • Maintain and update financial procedures and processes,

  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned. 

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • Professional Accounting Designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) in good standing.

  • The incumbent is expected to exercise sound judgment, tact and discretion at all times in dealing with confidential matters and to demonstrate exceptional levels of customer service to other departments within the organization.

  • Proficiency in use of computers and financial software programs.

  • Minimum five years of previous Management/Supervisory experience. Proven ability to lead, manage and develop people and to build collaborative relationships easily.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and technical skills.

  • Ability to provide innovative solutions to problems.
