Current Shift: Monday - Friday (30 hours a week), while regular classes are in session. Shift includes 1/2 hour unpaid lunch.

Pay Rate: $23.88 per hour

End Date: January 27, 2022

Qualifications Required:  

Trade Awareness Skills & Knowledge (TASK) related industry experience in one or more of the trade areas. Experience working safely and comfortable with supervising students with power tools and other power equipment. Clean drivers abstract and ability to transport students. Able to multi-task and help students with a variety of learning needs. First aid and WHMIS a plus. Must have experience working with Indigenous students. Experience working with at risk youth. Must have Indigenous cultural safety training. Must be willing to work with students and their families to achieve student success

Applicants must have demonstrated ability to provide instructional support in a school setting with a willingness to be involved in school/department activities. Applicants must have demonstrated strong, positive interpersonal skills with students, staff, and the community. Applicants must be willing and able to facilitate Indigenous cultural learning opportunities for all students across the district.

Minimum secondary school graduation, direct or related experience with a preference given to applicants with post secondary training and experience related to supporting school-aged children/youth.

This position requires a class 5 driver’s licence.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A CUPE POSITION.
