Working with students who are not native French speakers, you will be responsible for teaching Français Langue Seconde-Immersion and/or Sciences Humaines and/or Sciences Naturelles.
You possess native-like fluency in French and English (reading, writing, speaking, and listening). In addition to having a BC Teacher’s certificate, you have a Secondary Education degree, which includes methodology coursework in French second language acquisition.
Successful applicants will be hired as Secondary French Immersion Teachers Teaching on Call (TTOC) or Secondary French Immersion District on Call (DOC) Teachers.
Secondary French Immersion Teachers Teaching on Call are called out on an as needed basis. Secondary French Immersion District on Call teachers are employed as full-time teachers, and are called out on a daily basis or for extended assignments.
