Coquitlam School District invites applications for the position of Team Leader – Web and Database.  As the third largest school district in the province we are located within a 40 minute drive from downtown Vancouver.  The school district has a population of 33,000 students with approximately 3,500 teaching, administrative, managerial and support staff.

The Team Leader – Web and Database is a unionized position and works as an integral part of the District’s Information Services team.  This position is responsible for leading teams, coordinating and leading projects, and providing expert-level user and technical support for web based systems and database application software for educational and administrative computer users throughout the School District.

The ability to travel amongst the sites located within the School District is a requirement of this position.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years recent experience developing, working with, and supporting Microsoft SharePoint and SQL Server technologies;
  • Completion of the CompTIA Security + certification exams;
  • Completion of the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS); Microsoft SharePoint Configuration certification exams;
  • A two-year computer systems related diploma from an accredited public college plus three years of directly related recent experience; OR five years of directly related recent experience including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification (current or no older than on previous certification version);
  • Strong supervisory, interpersonal, coaching, communication (verbal and written);
  • Strong problem solving, trouble shooting, analytical, and technical design skills;
  • Strong research, organization, planning, and project coordination/management skills;
  • A valid B.C. driver's license.
