School District No. 6 (Rocky Mountain) is now accepting applications for a permanent, full-time (35 hr/wk), Information Technology Supervisor for School District 6 (Rocky Mountain). This role is effective, November 16, 2020.
Reporting to the Director of Instruction – Technology and Innovation, the IT Supervisor will be responsible for supervision, task assignment and prioritization, monitoring and evaluation of two (2) IT Systems Specialists. The IT department is responsible for the delivery and use of technology throughout the District. The position requires a high level of technical and analytical skill and includes the development and maintenance of related IT practices and procedures.
The role involves leading, directing and monitoring daily activities and projects assigned to the department. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of strong relationships with third party vendors, contractors and suppliers and will be required to monitor and evaluate District technology platforms and propose solutions to meet curriculum goals and continuous improvement. The IT Supervisor will work with District and School based staff to plan, develop, evaluate and implement technology based educational software and applications. The IT Supervisor will collaborate on the District’s technology road map and strategy for business enablement to deliver technical solutions. They will be adept at project management from scoping and RFP to technical writing, testing and implementation.
The successful candidate will:
be proficient with Windows Operating Systems,
have a working knowledge of SQL database querying,
be experienced with Financial Management, HR Information and payroll systems,
have experience with database administration and analysis,
have 8-10 years of general IT experience
have previous experience as Supervisor or Lead, and
a technical degree or diploma from an accredited college or university
