The Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese (the CISVA) operates 47 schools – 40 elementary and seven high schools. Our footprint extends over 250 kilometres, from Powell River in the west to Chilliwack in the east.

St. Francis Xavier is a double streamed elementary school with two classes for every grade from Kindergarten to Grade Seven. St. Francis Xavier is unique in many ways, including offering a Mandarin language program for students as part of our regular class offering. St. Francis Xavier offers a diverse range of extra-curricular activities such as Choir, Art Club, Green Club, Leadership club and many others. Our Sports teams participate in cross country, soccer, basketball, badminton, volleyball, and track and field. Come and learn and grow in this unique school setting.
St. Francis Xavier is pleased to offer a full-time Kindergarten teaching position starting September 2021. The successful candidate will be experienced in teaching literacy to primary learners, proficient in the BC curriculum, work collaboratively with teachers and parents, and be committed to extra curricular involvement. All applicants must be practicing in the Catholic faith and be a witness of Faith to their students. This is a continuing contract.
