Job Description & Requirements



The Langley School District is accepting applications for Trades Certified Painters in our Maintenance Department for one full-time (40 hrs/week) permanent and two full-time temporary 6-month assignments (may be extended). Individuals will perform a variety of tasks related to the painting of buildings and equipment.


Individuals must have the following qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade 12

  • Apprenticeship and/or Trades Qualification Certificate (Painting and Decorating).

  • BC Driver's License

  • Ability to perform a variety of skilled tasks in the preparation and application of paint and wall covering

  • Thorough and current knowledge of the standards, practices, regulations, methods, tools and equipment of the trade

  • Ability to communicate effectively using courtesy and tact in the explanation and exchange of information

  • Ability to determine, judge and select appropriate course of action within limits of established methods and procedure

  • Physical ability to perform the required duties.

       Rate of pay is $31.38 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits package
