We are seeking an experienced IT professional to lead the design, implementation, and management of our District-wide network architecture, infrastructure, and cloud strategies. This 35 hour/week, 12 month position reports to the Manager of Information Technology and is responsible for ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing IT systems, including both on-premises and cloud environments (e.g., Azure). The successful candidate will oversee enterprise systems administration, software deployment, backup and disaster recovery, and IT security programs. They will also guide and support a team of System Technologists, contribute to policy and SOP development, and drive innovation through research and adoption of emerging technologies. The starting wage for the position is $51.97, and will increase to $52.22 after completion of a 3-month probationary period.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS (please see full qualifications on the draft job description :

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience with relevant IT certifications.
  • 10+ years’ IT experience, with a focus on infrastructure and enterprise support.
  • Cybersecurity certification (e.g., CompTIA CySA+) is preferred; Azure/VMware an asset.
  • Proven leadership in project management and team supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Valid BC Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
