Appointment: 1.0000 FTE
Specific Period of Time: FULL TIME CONTINUING
Effective September 1st, 2020.
Monday to Thursday full days and Friday mornings.

Description of Assignment
Subjects to be determined in consultation with school administration.

Special Qualifications Required
*Training and experience teaching at the secondary level
* Experience teaching multi-grade classes would be an asset
* Willingness to work independently as well as being a contributing member to a team
would be considered an asset
* Experience working in remote, First Nations communities would be an asset

School District No. 27 operates in the Cariboo-Chilcotin of BC. Residents enjoy 4 distinct seasons with plentiful outdoor activities. Located approximately 320 kilometers west of Williams Lake, Anahim Lake is part of the Ulkatcho First Nation. With a projected enrollment of 45 students from Kindergarten to Grade 10, our school boasts smaller classroom sizes (average class size is 12 students) which allows for a greater one-on-one support. Our school is an integral part of the community and we often invite community members, parents, elders and outside professionals to be a part of the educational experience.

Subsidized teacherage rentals, Rural Travel Allowance (provided as per the collective agreement) and Remote Recruitment & Retention Allowance are available to the successful applicant of this position. A Relocation Allowance may also be offered.
