Backup Teacher Teaching On Call Dispatcher

We are accepting expressions of interest for those interested in being a backup Teacher Teaching On Call (TTOC) Dispatcher. Please note that the backup will be required to start at 7:00 am on days when training and covering for the Teacher Teaching On Call Dispatcher.

When covering, the duties of the backup Teacher Teaching On Call will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Dispatching Teachers Teaching on Call (TTOC)
  • Organizing scheduling of TTOC's, manages cancellations, changes and special requests
  • Organizing application packages for TTOC's
  • Verifying TTOC payroll information daily with schools
  • Compiling forms and backup data and ensures accuracy of all forms
  • Data entry into SDS software
  • Performing a variety of computerized tasks
  • Other duties as assigned


Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Grade 12 or equivalency
  • Up to 2 years previous clerical experience preferred
  • Must meet clerical typing (50 wpm) and other standards set by the school district
  • Computer technology skills and experience using Windows application and related applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work cooperatively with public
  • Experience with Receptionist duties and office procedures with above average telephone skills
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills are essential
  • Ability to multitask, work with constant interruptions, and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Confidentiality is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimum supervision


A Criminal Records Check must be completed prior to employees starting any position in the District.
