The Greater Victoria School District provides public educational services to over 20,000 students in the Greater Victoria Area, encompassing six municipalities. To provide this service, the District has a current operating budget of $190 million and employs approximately 3,000 staff; which includes, teachers, principals and vice-principals, support staff, psychologists, speech and language pathologists and exempt managerial staff.
We are currently seeking applications for Certified Red Seal Plumbers, as recognized by the Province of B.C. Preference will be given to holders of a valid Gas “B” ticket. Other desired qualifications include; DDC control system experience, Back Flow Certificate, Fire Sprinkler Certificate and refrigeration qualification. Successful applicants will have proven initiative, the ability to work independently and good interpersonal skills required to interact with students, teaching staff, co-workers and the general public.
This position falls under the CUPE 382 Collective Agreement at a pay rate of $30.12 per hour based on a 40 hour work week.
