TEACHING VACANCY:  POSTING NO. 94 – November 22, 2019

School:                    Nechako Valley Secondary School – Vanderhoof, BC

Start Date:              November 29, 2019 to June 30, 2019 or until the incumbent returns, whichever occurs first.        

 

Assignment:            1.0 (FULL TIME) LIMITED DURATION POSITION

                               

  • MIDDLE YEARS TEACHER – MATH FOCUS

 

Note:  Teachers in the Middle Years Program will be expected to teach across all curriculum areas, but may be assigned to teach in areas of specific curriculum strengths or interests.

                                SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENT TO BE DETERMINED BY THE PRINCIPAL

Qualifications

  • possesses or is eligible for a BC Teaching Certificate
  • demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a positive classroom learning environment that engages students in active learning experiences
  • work with colleagues as part of a highly collaborative middle years team
  • experience in differentiating instruction to create success in learning for each student
  • experience in integrating appropriate technologies into instructional practices in order to improve learning outcomes for students
