The district is seeking interest from exemplary educators to join its dynamic team as District Principal, Student Support. 

Members of the Student Support department work as a close-knit team of highly skilled professionals where integrity, collaboration, and a commitment to on-going professional growth are paramount.  A belief in success for all learners, and a genuine appreciation and passion for supporting students with exceptional learning needs is essential.  Working in an environment of shared responsibility for learner success, you will be directly involved in strengthening understanding, appreciation, and application of principles of Universal Design for learning, system-wide.

  • Exceptional leadership experience as a school or specialist principal K-12 (preferably at the district level);

  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with exceptional learners; 

  • Characteristics of, and success as a visionary change agent; 

  • Effective use of technology for data analysis, project management, networking, and technical writing;

  • Ability to identify goals and targets and to collect and analyze data; and then turn insights into actions; 

  • Respectful, collaborative relationships with colleagues and the community, in support of an inclusive environment of success for all; 

  • High degree of professional credibility;

  • Superior interpersonal and communications skills; and

  • Ability to collaboratively problem-solve complex situations. 

The qualifications required for selection to a position of district principal include a master degree.  If an individual is appointed without a master degree, the individual will be required to enroll in a master degree program and must complete the program within a specified time period.
